What: The National Kidney Foundation of CO, MT and WY presents the second Great Chefs of the West Young Professionals (YP) event of 2009 at Second Home.
This YP event will showcase nine guest bartenders—Chairperson Jim Guttau, Jenny Salimi, Anne Donley, Dana Berry, Georgia Gallagher, Jill Hodges, Kasia Iwaniczko, Amy Rubin, and Tracey Nilson from the foundation. These bartenders will mix up the event’s signature drink, which is $5; all proceeds will benefit the Foundation.

Grand Opening Event Will Benefit Variety—The Children’s Charity of Iowa
Corporate Décor and More, a studio creating spaces dreamed about, today announced the grand opening of its design studio in West Glen Town Center (5545 Mills Civic Pkwy, Suite 100, West Des Moines). The company will celebrate the new studio opening with a party on Thursday, May 7 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit Variety—The Children’s Charity of Iowa.
“We are taking our services to the next level with the opening of our studio,” said Owner Kris McVicker. “Working with our design team, clients will now be able to touch, feel, and see the latest design concepts, textiles, furnishings, accessories, and much more.”

CultureHaus, a social and educational support group of the Denver Art Museum connecting the young at heart with art, today announced the appointment of five new members to its board of directors:
Georgina Kolber, Curator of Exhibits at the Mizel Museum, has been appointed to InHaus Co-Chair.
Chris Vandall of Oz Architecture has been also named an InHaus Co-Chair.
Jennifer McIntire, Administrative Assistant to the President of the Colorado Senate, has been named Sponsorship Co-Chair.
Dr. Gregory A. Buford, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, has been also named Sponsorship Co-chair.
Laura Dean, Director of Career Development at Johnson & Wales University, has been appointed as the Membership Co-Chair.
