8TH ANNUAL EVENT FEATURES THREE BOUTIQUES

DENVER, CO—The Eighth Annual Volunteers of America Fashion Show, “Sweet Life,” will take place Saturday, September 17 at Suite 200 (1427 Larimer St., Denver). Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the runway show begins at 8:15 p.m. The annual event benefits the Volunteers of America (VOA) Brandon Center, a 118-bed shelter in the metro area providing food, shelter, and life skills training for women and children who are victims of domestic violence or formerly homeless.

“In addition to showcasing the hottest clothing styles for fall and winter, our 2011 show will incorporate confectionary delights from Happy Cakes Bakeshop,” said Jim White, director of community affairs at VOA. “Our goal is to help make life a bit sweeter for the women and children of our Brandon Center.”

Sweet Life will feature attire from three Denver boutiques—Mariel, Moda, and Goldyn, as well as DJ entertainment, food, and beverages.

The ticket prices vary as follows:
• General admission: $65 per person, includes endless Voli Vodka drinks, dessert, appetizers, and party gift.
• Catwalk seating: $100 per person, includes endless Voli drinks, dessert, appetizers, and party gift.
• Sponsor booths: includes complimentary Champagne bottle service, Voli drinks, and tableside snacks. EDGE Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Denver will host a sponsor party prior to the fashion show, which will offer complimentary valet, cocktails, and appetizers. For sponsorship inquiries, email Jordan Sanders: jsanders@voacolorado.org.

“Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase $10 candy bars donated by Sugarlicious,” said White. “The candy bars will contain a ‘golden ticket’ redeemable for an array of prizes, such as Southwest Airlines flights, bottle service at Suite 200, concert tickets from AEG Live, and more.”
