The Denver Northwest Market Center of Keller Williams Realty (9191 Sheridan Blvd., Suite 310, Westminster) today announced that it will host a class for first time home buyers on Tuesday, May 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at North Metro Denver Realtors Association (1505 W. First Ave., Broomfield).

“We had an overwhelming response at last month’s event,” commented Jim Lyons, a broker associate with the market center. “Based on the feedback we received, it’s clear that first time home buyers really need the resources and information that we’re providing to better understand the unique advantages available to them in 2009.”

Several factors have come together this year, including lower interest rates, large supply of homes, lower purchase prices, and tax credits, all creating a unique opportunity for many people considering a first time home purchase. As part of The American Recovery and Investment Act, the U.S. Government is offering up to an $8,000 tax credit to first time home buyers who purchase a home before November 30, 2009.

“We try to cover all the basics—from deciding whether to buy or rent to how to use the $8,000 tax credit for a down payment,” said Cheri Brandon, one of the class organizers.

Even though the class is presented by Realtors and mortgage professionals, the emphasis is strictly educational.

“Keller Williams has earned a reputation for providing excellent training and education in real estate,” said Heidi Greer Mosher, Team Leader of the market center.

Seating is limited for this free event. For more information and to RSVP, visit www.cfthb.com or call Bev Kelly at 303-463-3772.
