OUT In The City Presents ‘Wreck The Halls’ Holiday Party to Benefit the National Gay Lesbian Task Force
(DENVER, CO) November 18, 2010—OUT in the City (OITC), a leading provider of online event management and ticketing services for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community and LGBT friendly businesses, presents a sexy and sizzling holiday party to cure the winter months benefiting the National Gay Lesbian Task Force on Thursday, December 9 at Casselman’s (2620 Walnut St Denver, CO).
This holiday soiree will feature appearances by famous underwear maven, Andrew Christian, Real World DC cast member Emily Schromm, as well as music from DJ Rockstar Aaron and a special appearance by legendary DJ/Producer, Tony Moran.
“We are excited to show Denver that there is more to holiday parties than the stuffy professional gatherings they are used to while benefiting a great LGBT cause,” said OITC President, Lynette Elliott. “We want people to experience the fun, laughter and joy that the holidays are all about, but with a fundraising twist.”
This non-traditional holiday party will feature a collection of beautiful boys and girls of Denver, brand new music by two amazing DJs, along with go-go dancers, an Andrew Christian underwear fashion show, an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, food, drinks and other fun giveaways throughout the night.
Andrew Christian will be in attendance at the event and will meet with people before the party starts. Besides having a very lucrative underwear line, Christian is one of the hottest reality stars around. Christian played “Andrew” on Bravo's The Fashion Show, and quickly set himself apart from the other designers with his movie star good looks and winning out of the box designs. Andrew was also featured on The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency seasons 3 and 4 on the popular Oxygen reality show.
The emcee for the night will be Emily Schromm, who is the openly bisexual female cast member from MTV's 'The Real World: DC and current competitor on MTV's Real World Road Rules Challenge: Cutthroat. Since breaking out from the cult, her daredevil nature has led her to throw herself into new things and broaden her horizons in every facet of her life. An adrenaline junkie, Emily lists skydiving, rockclimbing, and anything competitive as her favorite hobbies. She and Andrew Christian will meet with fans before the event.
Tickets for this event are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, or $55 which includes a meet-and-greet with Andrew Christian and Emily Schromm from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Doors open to the public at 8:00 p.m. and will remain until 2:00 a.m. Tickets to this fundraising event may be purchased by calling 303.778.7900, or in person at Out Front Colorado, located on the main floor at 827 Grant St., Denver, CO.
“The LGBT community is founded on the same principles of family and togetherness that we all embrace during the holiday season,” said National Gay and Lesbian Task Force board member Sydney Andrews. “So, we are extremely excited to start a new tradition in Denver with this fabulous holiday event.”
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force was formed to build the grassroots power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. They do this by training activists, equipping state and local organizations with the skills needed to organize broad-based campaigns to defeat anti-LGBT referenda and advance pro-LGBT legislation, and building the organizational capacity of their movement. They work to create a nation that respects the diversity of human expression and identity and creates opportunity for all. For more information, visit www.thetaskforce.org
